Arizona Equine Rescue Presents
National Rescue Pledge Ride or Walk 2009
Saturday, October 3 8am - 2pm
Pioneer Village Historical
Community (I-17 just 5 miles north of
Carefree Hwy at Pioneer Village Road exit)
Join us for this fun way to
support horse rescues and raise community awareness about the
services they provide. AERO has made special arrangements
for families and kids to be involved, even if you don't have a
horse. There will be two locations set up for the ride.
The main event will be at Pioneer Village which is a historic
collection of Arizona buildings with actors bringing these
buildings alive in old time costumes. Those without horses
can make their pledge walk alongside horseback outlaws and
others who will tour you thru the village and bring you up to
speed on the history of the village. Those with horses
will be able to see the new Maricopa County trail system
addition of the Anthem trailhead and come back for a nice lunch
at the village. A few trail trial obstacles will be set up
in the Village arena for folks to test out in anticipation of
two upcoming competitions. There will be a second location
at Cave Creek Outfitters for those that don't have a horse but
would like to ride with rental horses available. Please
email
info@azequinerescue.org with any questions about this very
fun event! Register at
www.nationalrescueride.org and look for AERO's ride on the
website. Hope to see you there!
