SLIDER – NEGLECT POLICE CASE DECEMBER 2019 – STATUS = REHAB

Slider was seized  by Phoenix Police because of severe neglect.  According the neighbors he only received food once every couple weeks.  When we arrived he could not stand or even lift his head.  He was literally in the very end stages of starvation.  The AERO LAR team put Slider on a rescue glide and rushed him to Southwest Equine hospital with his friend Lali.  Slider was a 3yo stallion that looked and acted like a yearling.  It took 3 days to get Slider reliably on his feet and for two weeks he would lay down but we would have to lift him back to his feet.  When he finally got to his feet on his own he let out a big whinny of excitement and all the other horses responded.  We were all proud of his determination to live and today only a few scars from the severe bedsores remain as a reminder.  Slider has a severe heart murmur so he is being held until he is more stable before adopting him out.  He loves dogs and people in spite of his tough start and wins everyone over with his big eyes.

FLASH- NEGLECT POLICE CASE DECEMBER 2019 – STATUS = UP FOR ADOPTION

Flash was seized  by Phoenix Police with Slider on the same case because of severe neglect.  According the neighbors he only received food once every couple weeks.  When we arrived Flash was super skinny, scared to the point of shivering, and in poor condition but standing!   The AERO LAR team from Robinson Ranch put Flash on their trailer to transport  and rushed him to Southwest Equine hospital with his friend Slider.  Flash was a 3yo stallion and looks much like Slider but bigger.  They are brothers and Flash is very willing and smart in his training.  He needs a kind skilled trainer to get him fully under saddle.  We did have a set back in his training we are working through.  Email info@azequinerescue.org to meet Flash.  Adoption fee is $500.00.
